Martin Parr I really enjoy Martin Parr’s work, I’ve chosen to include him in my artist research because I veritably love his work, both when it comes to his chosen themes and his stylistic approach. The way he manages to capture a candid look even though some subjects do look at the camera just tells me that he blends into the crowd. In this section of secondary research i am going to be looking at Thomas Gainsborough’s piece ‘Mr and Mrs Andrews’ (Oil on canvas) and Martin Parr’s image ‘Signs of the times, England’ (C-type print). He has won many awards including the Sony World Photography Award in 2017 and has published his work in over 100 books.
